The effects of the energy crisis and rising demand have sparked development to improve efficiency in using fuel oil. According Indonesia's oil resources, increasing refinery capacity building mini refineries is essential secure local production. It more effective cost-effective construct a small with configuration starting flash unit or pre-fractionator, an atmospheric distillation unit, vacuum as last process each oil-producing region than large-scale refinery. optimization concerned variety preflash furnace temperatures simulated by Aspen Plus software. temperature will change production rate utility needed, which could sales operating costs. result describes that optimum profit for mini-refinery plant performed at 533 K 108.20 US$/m3 crude profit.
